Welcome Visitors

As the pastor of The Church At Limestone, I would like to welcome you to our assembly. I want to take this opportunity to describe what you will see and hear when you visit.

When you arrive, you may notice right away that the Believers are modestly dressed. The men wear pants. Their hair is not long, but is cut as the scripture requires. We ask men to dress appropriately to show respect for the house of the Lord.

The ladies are dressed in modest dresses or skirts that are not revealing. In accordance with the Apostle Paul’s teachings in the New Testament, their hair is uncut. 1 Corinthians 11:13-15, 1 Timothy 2:9  We ask women to dress modestly when visiting.

Although some visitors may not yet understand or observe these scriptural teachings, we welcome you and would love to discuss and explain why we obey the scripture instead of adhering to worldly fashions and trends.

In the majority of modern churches, these scriptural teachings go mostly ignored. We hold God’s Word too dear to cherry-pick what we observe. We obey His Word because we love Him and want to please Him; we don’t obey Him out of legalism. John 14:15  Why do we love Him? Because He first loved us and gave His life for ours at Calvary.

We love to worship and sing songs of praise and adoration to the Lord Jesus Christ, for He is worthy to be praised. Psalm 100:1-3  We are not ashamed to give praise to Him. Whether shouting “Amen!” or other joyful exclamations of praise while the Truth is sung, prayed, and preached, exalting Christ everywhere is our goal. 1 Timothy 2:8

Occasionally, the Holy Ghost may so fill a Saint that they are overcome with the presence of God and they release a victory scream or dance in the Spirit. At first, this might seem surprising but is welcome when it is genuine and in order. Have you seen sports fans, when their team just scored the winning point, they will scream and dance because they are so happy that their team won? So do the Saints of God when they see the lost saved, the sick healed, and the captives set free. It is a wonderful time of rejoicing and praising the Lord.

We believe in the scriptural, supernatural manifestation of speaking in tongues. When it occurs in order and with an interpreter, it edifies the church. 1 Corinthians 12:4-10

We seek to never hinder any gift or manifestation of the Holy Ghost and our primary focus and goal is to make the Lord welcome in any way possible that does not break the scriptural order or doctrine of God’s Holy Word. 1 Corinthians 12:4-10
